I love your recipes but i need to see how much sodium in the recipe on a low sodium diet

Well...we made the soup a couple of days ago...it was delicious! We doubled the recipe, all except the cayenne, and were glad we hadn't doubled that. I think that much cayenne would have overwhelmed the soup's excellent flavor. This recipe is certainly a keeper!

Thanks for the great tip. I will try the scissors next time I make the soup Patti. And by the way Yes! my inspiration for this soup was the one they serve at Biaggis! I hope you like it. It is a bit spicier than the Biaggis version so if you like less heat just cut the amount of cayenne in half

I haven't made this yet, but might I suggest cutting the spinach over the soup kettle with a pair of scissors. I do this a lot for fresh herbs and leafy veggies. If using fresh spinach, just pick up a few leaves, roll them up and cut the roll as thick or thin as desired. No loss and no scraping bits off a cutting board.
I will be making this soon...it sounds very much like a wonderful soup served at Biaggi's!

Wow this looks so good and seems easy enough to make. Can't wait to try it. With the weather getting cooler, I make a lot of soup. Always looking for something different. Thanks for posting. Pat
